Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
• 2 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages (e.g., C, C++, Java, RUST)
• Experience in any networking protocol
  
  

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience in programming in Java or Rust
• Experience designing, implementing, or using networking protocols (e.g., IPv6, IPv4, UDP/TCP, DNS, HTTP, QUIC, TLS)
• Knowledge of the Linux kernel networking stack and drivers
• Knowledge of higher-level networking code (i.e., HTTP, RPC client libraries)
• Knowledge of OpenWrt or NGINX

Responsibilities

• Implement andevolve networking technologies at various stages of maturity (i.e., DNS-over-HTTPS, HTTP/3 connection migration, Encrypted Client Hello, IPv6, etc.).
• Develop application-visible APIs and also Android frameworks/native or kernel to support use cases (i.e., 5G slicing, temporarily metered networks) on Android and work with other teams for other form factors (i.e., Auto, TV, Chrome OS, etc.).
• Make appropriately paced progress of tasks without supervision, and spot and suggest areas of future work for self and the team.
