Region APC > Construction & Operations APAC > APAC Offshore Pre-AssemblyManage WTG Package delivery and provide platform technical support for projects installation and commissioning. Oversees WTG Package components delivery, handle package scope of work and provide systems supports and platform management. Perform a high level of planning and communication to implement the necessary actions.Responsibilities
  • Supervise the WTG scope within the project team.
  • Handle the Integrated Load Analysis process (ILA) with client’s foundation package
  • Manage mechanical and electrical interface design activities and liaise with WTG components Suppliers, certifier, marine warranty surveyor and owner’s engineer.
  • Handle safe, timely and cost-effective delivery of the TSA and handover to Installation team offshore or commissioning team.
  • Handle safe and cost-effective delivery of WTG from the WTG factory to the Offshore Site in collaboration with Project Manager, Site Manager and Warehouse & Logistics site manager.
  • Handle delivery of WTG package to the Offshore Installation Manager.
  • Provide support in procuring technical services for the WTG scope. Prepare the scope of works for contractors or service providers including technical scope descriptions, resource requirements, budget and schedule for completion.
  • Review technical reports submitted by contractors, consultants or other service providers in relation to WTG.
  • Support the Technical Manager Installation & Commissioning in ensuring that overall project requirements are met and that the WTG scope is delivered safely and in compliance with applicable quality and budget targets.
  • Support the Project Technical Manager to ensure technical interfaces with other packages, contractors and stakeholders are identified and appropriately handled.
  • Provide engineering support to permit and consenting processes.
  • Liaise with the Project Management team, development, commercial, engineering, O&M, HSE and corporate finance teams to resolve WTG related matters.
  • Manage quality surveillance during the manufacturing and storage of WTG where required.
  • Identify project risks, barriers, and issues and propose possible solutions and mitigation strategies.
  • Facilitate and supervise regular status meetings.
  • Prepare project reports and deliverables.th product development Tower and offshore base mechanical load analysis.
  • Review missing components and prepare the carryover punch list to ensure full scope delivery.
  • Manage warranty claim account during project execution
  • Review and comment documentation and liaise with the WTG manufacturing team to ensure full scope delivery.
Qualifications
  • Mechanical engineering degree level, marine or naval architecture.
  • Willingness to travel
  • Willingness to relocate to Taiwan full time
  • Technical or equivalent mechanical/constructional offshore experience
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills
  • SAP - Preferable
  • Safety and compliance mindset, initiative, proactive, empowerment & ownership.
  • Willingness and effectuating change, team-orieneted person, people coaching, analytical, interpersonal skills, result-quality-customer oriented.
  • Managerial skills, risk management, integrity, make oneself an example.
  • Comfortable with (working at) heights and being at sea.
  • Previous experience in offshore installation manager or similar role is desirable
  • Good knowledge of offshore construction vessels (particularly WTIVs) is desirable, a deeper understanding of vessel design and architecture is advantageous.
  • Experience supervising engineering teams, including contractors and subcontractors
  • Good communication, leadership, and organizational skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Fluent in English. Mandarin desired.
  • Extensive experience conducting large projects.
  • Lifting and banking experience.
  • Ability to implement quality assurance and environmental processes
  • Knowledge of specification, design, maintenance, construction and commissioning of offshore works.
  • Electrical knowledge, cables installation and connection, able to read and follow schematics.
  • PC knowledge of Microsoft applications
  • Comfortable to deliver technical queries and management of change demands.
