Job Description Summary
You will support Civil and M&E subcontract and turnkey subcontract formation and administration. This includes but not limits to supporting the negotiation of terms and conditions to align with the applicable terms in GE’s customer; gathering and tracking information and documentation to protect GE’s rights under the Contract and Consortium Agreements, and to prepare for any risk or claim mitigation involving site issues.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • M a n a g e a nda dm i n i s t r a t e s i t e s u b c o n t r ac t s , i nc l u d i ng C i v i l a nd M & E s u bcon t r a c t s t oe n s u re t h a t G E ’ s r i g h t s a r e e n fo r c ed a n d r e s e r v e d .
  • S u p por t s t he P C M i n t he m a n a g e m e n t a nd a d m i n i s t r a t i o n o f t he c o n s or t i um a g r e e m e n t w it h c o n s o r t i u m p a r t n e r s .
  • Establish and maintain event logs, risk and claims registers and ensure event records are maintained about consortium partner’s delays, GE’s delays affecting the consortium partner, or any other issues encountered at site.
  • Support NCR management and liaise with the responsible department to initiate back-charges.
  • Support project team on contractual issues focuses on site (e.g. site correspondence, providing information to Project Contract Manager for customer claims).
  • Attend daily, weekly & monthly site meetings as needed, including Site Management & Progress review meetings to document delays, damages and disputed issues.

Required Qualifications
  • Technical study or Bachelor’s Degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Construction or Engineering;
  • Proven experience in the administration and management of contracts for construction projects (Power Plants, Petrochemical Plants, Civil/Infrastructural project etc).
  • Site Contract Management and construction claims negotiation experience;
  • Full understanding of project controls, cycles, and logic as it relates to engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning and operation of a power plant;
  • Fluent in both English and Chinese languages

Desired Characteristics
  • A d d i t i o n a lPr o j e c t M a n a g e m e n t a n d /orC o m m e r c i a l e d u ca ti o n a n d p r of e s s i o n a l r e gi st r a t i o n ( e . g. R I C S ) w o u l dbe b e n ef i c i a l .
  • EPC Experience, preferably in the Power Industry or Oil & Gas Industry.
  • Excellent communication.
