Responsibilities

SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

• On-site diagnose and resolve technical problems
• Performs preventative maintenance.
• Provides technical assistance to Installation Engineer on installations at customer sites as needed
• Escalate field issue to tech support team and follow up for issue fix.
• Follow on duty sheet to support customer
• Follow assignment to assist customer to solve the field issues on time
  
  

Essential Functions

• 60%: Work directly on customers site to diagnose BNSM instrument and service issues including but not limited to
• Diagnose, research, experiment, test, develop, optimize, communicate, and execute the most efficient solution plan for complex electro mechanical hardware/software instrument issues and user issues.
• Maximize instrument and/or accessory capability and performance to meet specification and/or customer application requirement
• Create and maintain service record or daily report of activity in support database
• Follow the process to escalate the issue on time
• Basic application support to enhance time to solution
• 40%: Install and qualify BNSM instrument, upgrade, and/or accessory

Qualifications

ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Locate in Hsinchu/Taoyuan site and have chance to travel around Taiwan
• Able to work in cleanroom, production floor, & laboratory environments
• Require weekend and holiday on call support
• Must have & maintain valid driver’s license
  
  

Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities

Customer focused, passionate about science and technology, and passionate to enable customers with Bruker technology. Demonstrated excellent analytical capability, theoretical understanding of physics, working knowledge of electronics, mechanics, control systems, computers, networking, and common tooling such as oscilloscope, multi-meter, etc… to be an effective problem solver of complex system, product user, and/or application issues. Demonstrated ability to install, qualify and be a trainer and technical resource that effectively empowers our customers and internal team for complex electro-mechanical instrumentation and application modules. Demonstrated ability to provide clear, logical, and effective communication. Able to develop, communicate, implement, and execute assigned project including achieving required deliverables on time.

Educational/Experience Requirements

• BS degree in scientific or engineering field (Mechanical, Electrical, Electro-optical, Controlling Engineering) from accredited university or college with at least 1-3 year relevant experience.
• Fresh Masters degree in scientific or engineering field (Mechanical, Electrical, Electro-optical, Controlling Engineering) can be considered.
• English proficiency: high intermediate, competent of communication in oral and written with TOEIC score above 600 or equivalent test score available.
