What We Offer

Major tasks and responsibilities of position:

• Responsible for new product development projects, which include lab hand casting, up-scaling in production, product characterization, specification drafting and customer feedback tracking.
• Responsible for optimization of existing products based on market requirements.
• Work with Business Development and Sales to provide technical solutions to customer and evaluate business opportunities.
• Support Production&Technology/QC groups in APAC to improve product quality and production efficiency. Contribute to the definition of technical/asset requirements to achieve required product specifications.
• Support product transfer among TPU plants within Covestro.
• Lead the research laboratory in specific areas of applications to support the implementation of business strategy.
  
  

Value added to the success of the company:

• Independently execute all project related tasks as project lead, including but not limited to: meetings and events management, data analysis & reporting, project plan and scope management..to ensure quality results.
• Support business development with sales team in several regions, such as Taiwan, China and Vietnam including Japan.
• Effectively communicate with P&T and QC departments for trial management.
• Assist Head of RD TPU APAC to manage day to day business.
• In charge of product data maintenance works (PLM) in APAC.

Qualifications:

• Ph D. in PolymerChemistry, Chemistry or closely related fields.
• Knowledge of respective chemistry, processing, structure property relationship.
• Solid project management skills.
• English: fluent (speaking and writing).
• Ability to analyze, review and summarize data in an effective manner.
• Computer skills (e.g. MS Office and lab-specific software).
• Good technical and interpersonal communication skills.
