The Role

Working as a Senior CAD Engineer based in Zhubei, you will:

• Interface with the foundry & support CAD team in the development of PDKs, PDK components & Cadence tools.
• Support design community on CAD Infrastructure, CAD PDK & Analog Simulation related components, tools, and flows.
• Support design and layout community in the usage of PDKs.
• Contribute to the development of in-house SKILL-Pcells and enhance foundry based Pcells.
• Support, develop & maintain components & scripts required for internal CAD and for design community use.
• Implement new features keeping high programming standards and code descriptions.
• Integrate into the flow & provide user support for the assigned CAD tools.
• Maintain CAD documentation.

What We Are Looking For?

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or Physics
• Good understanding of CMOS concepts and electronic fundamentals.
• Minimum of 6 years work experience in semiconductor industry, especially EDA segment
• Good understanding of Data management & grid simulation
• Good understanding of PDKs(device libraries, netlisting, models, DRC,LVS, RCX)
• Familiar with Spice models, Analog simulation tools and flow.
• Very good knowledge of SKILL, SKILL-Pcells, CDFs, callbacks
• Good Knowledge of UNIX shell, Shell scripting & Perl/Python programming
• Good understanding of Cadence custom IC Virtuoso platform, Virtuoso-L and Virtuoso-XL, schematic capture, and layout concepts.
• Willingness to gain knowledge and familiarity with several CAD tools.
