As a Sales Manager for Motion Business Area in Taipei City, Kaohsiung, Taiwan, you will be responsible for leading and developing and coaching the Sales organization proactively, to exceed the sales targets through high performance in order to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.

Your responsibilities
  • Creating, planning and implementing sales strategy, and strategic sales and business development initiatives, in alignment with global sales strategy. Achieving sales targets in respect of both budgets and sales efficiency
  • Establishing sales targets and ensures sales achievement through regular oversight and definition and implementation of improvement plans as needed
  • Identifying opportunities at existing and potential new customers within defined geographical area and determines plans for acquisition and allocates resources
  • Coordinating the flow of information for sales activities and transactions, including leads, billings, orders, contracts, etc. and evaluates data to ensure achievement of goals. Monitoring and provides reports to the Marketing and Sales organization on market intelligence.
  • Supporting the development of strong relationships with key customers. Building and maintaining strong relationships with key decision makers. Ensuring efficient marketing communications
  • Ensuring achievement of sales volume and product mix targets by setting appropriate price and margin for sales. Participating on negotiations of key contracts. Managing ongoing costs.
  • Monitoring client financial status and reports any changes regarding risk to relevant internal partner teams. Identifying and managing potential risks relating to contract agreements across customers/channels
  • Ensuring (with HR Manager support) that the area of responsibility is properly organized, staffed, skilled and directed. Coaching, motivating and developing direct and indirect subordinates within HR policies. Driving and ensuring know-how sharing and cross-collaboration
Your background
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience with at least 2 years in leadership positions.
  • Automation or electrical sales experience in industries is a plus.
  • Work experience in complex applications across industry verticals. Significant work experience, preferred to have exposure to automation industries in Taiwan and solid commercial and financial experience.
  • Good knowledge of ABB LV/MV drive products
  • Able to integrate different products into one solution to customer.
  • Significant sales drive, focus energy to achieve and close profitable deals. Ability to push himself/herself to develop in line with the changes in the organization
  • Excellent skills in Customer relations: Show a mature selling behavior and actively drives discussions and negotiations to the benefit of the business with customers
  • A Bachelor’s degree or above, major electrical or mechanical engineering background is a plus
  • Strategic leadership skills. Strong entrepreneurial attitude, excellent communication skills, and Fluent English
  • Good knowledge in contract and risk management
