The Opportunity

We are currently seeking a Sales Director to join our small but growing Sales team, based in our Taiwan office. This is an amazing opportunity to join CGD at an early stage and work within the CGD sales team to help them grow in both size and scope.

This is a new role within the Sales team and, as such, provides scope for career growth as both the company and the role expand. As Sales Director, you will play a senior role in building CGD’s sales function in Taiwan, driving new business revenue through building and developing new partners and clients, managing and closing deals with some of our most significant and high-profile customers.

Main Responsibilities
  • Manage the Taiwan revenue plan, and define and implement the strategy to achieve revenue & DI/DW targets
  • Cooperate with the Business Development and Applications Engineering teams to achieve revenue & DW/BW targets
  • Manage ‘design in’ tracking meeting with distributors, and work with the Sales team to support distributors from OPP to DI/DW/BW
  • Monitor CRM input & project status updates
  • Work with the Sales team on forecast planning by value chain/customer/PN
  • Monitor orders and any backlog
  • Relationship management with decision makers at key customers
  • Channel management to achieve short/long term revenue targets
  • Increase CGD awareness in the region including marketing activity, trade shows, seminars, attending customer conferences, etc.
  • Partner with target customers to increase CGD brand awareness, leading to an increase in acceptance of customers using CGD products
  • Collect market trend & competitor information, and contribute to the CGD product strategy
  • Act as line manager for all Taiwan sales team members, helping to build the team according to the agreed hiring plan (with CGD management)

Requirements

Essential
  • Substantial industrial experience of sales within the semiconductor industry
  • Demonstrable experience of working with SMPS (or similar) customers
  • Excellent previous experience of working as a team lead or manager in a sales environment
  • Strong existing network, with confidence of delivering new customers to CGD quickly
  • Strong business acumen and negotiation abilities
  • Ability to operate in a fast-moving, often unstructured environment
  • Dynamic and customer-centric with gravitas, energy and presence
  • Fluent English skills (written and verbal)
  • Excellent communication skills with customers and internal departments
