Responsibilities

Own the responsibility and in charge of overall performance for Dayuan production, including EH&S, quality, cost, efficiency, productivity, produce to plan, operating discipline, equipment reliability and all continuous improvement initiatives regarding to operation. Build up an effective production team. Understand all applicable process technology, equipment and process control technology. Work with Technical Advising role(s) and plant personnel to optimize operations to meet Business, Site and plant goals. Lead production team in new product scale-up projects. Be key rep. to work with MT and lead the team to safely set up the new product based on business requirement. Provide supervisions of production team to ensure operating discipline is met. Make the impact and lead the team members to drive operation excellence based on alignment with business strategy. Perform appropriate Manage Production roles as determined by Plant / Business. Example Operate Plant, Operating Discipline, Produce to Plan / Record Production, etc. Support plant manager in production team people development. Be the key production representative to corporate cross-functions internally and externally by demonstrating leadership. Be the production cost center owner who is responsible for production expense performance. Lead the team to meet PFC/CFC target. Understand and apply skills, knowledge and current methodology to projects (i.e. IPS Methodology, Six Sigma, Lean, etc.) Provide leadership, coaching and direction in the day to day decision making for Dayuan operation. Network with other engineers on site and within the business to leverage knowledge on plant operations. (i.e. Maximize Production, Improvement, Site Optimization, EH&S, Reliability, R&D, etc) Participate when required in advanced trouble shooting & RCI’s and coach others to learn these skills. Ensures findings are documented in Plant Operating Discipline for future usage. Supports and coaches plant roles in procedure usage, creation, reviews, updates and approvals when assigned. Coach team members to ensure Most Effective Technology (MET), which includes best practices, are understood and utilized to optimize operations. Perform other related work process roles as determined by PlantSiteBusiness.

Qualifications

MS or BS in Chemical Engineering related. 3 years above process improvement experience is preferred. Familiar with SAP, Lean & Six Sigma methodologies. Green Belt certification or above is preferred. Fluent in English communication and presentation. Familiar with ISO quality requirements. Have strong influential leadership and clear insight in identifying improvement opportunity. Have strong accountability and executive power to drive the result. Exceptional team player with thinking out of the box. Highly discipline and always lead by example. Good at communication, especially when dealing with conflict, challenges and change management. Proactively and positively personality.
