  • Apply knowledge of the plant technology, by studying historical data and convening with MT or other Experts.
  • Ensures the plant is in compliance with the EH&S (Environment, Health and Safety) standards, PSM and plant operating permits.
  • Ensure Process is effectively utilized to optimize plant performance.
  • Respond urgently to plant issues and emergencies. Act as a unit technical expert during unplanned events and drive implementation of effective corrective and preventative actions.
  • Partner with the experts to perform advanced troubleshooting and improve operating discipline. Diagnose and document root causes of asset utilization losses in the facility.
  • Conduct a daily review of the logbook, KPI’s and alarm history to better understand the plant operation and ensure optimum performance.
  • Actively work to maximize plant margin by understanding how much the plant makes per day and based on the product slate.
  • Mentor other technical staff members and operators as appropriate in-process fundamentals, plant technology, and application of process safety.
  • Owns all SOPs of the responsible area. Initiates changes of SOP to ensure they are valid and up to date. Works with Production Technicians in this respect
Qualifications
  • A Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering background.
  • 3~5 years of experience in Manufacturing and Engineering.
  • Six Sigma Certification is preferred. Knowledge of statistical software like Minitab, JMP is preferred as well.
  • Good attitude to learn new skills.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skill to be a team player.
  • Good English communication capability.
  • Good logic skill
  • Experience and knowledge in problem solving statistic for process control.
