Position Overview

Based at our office in Puratos Taiwan, in order to further strengthen our global R&D team, we are currently seeking an:

R&D Manager

(Taipei, Taiwan)

Reporting directly to General Manager. The successful candidate for this key function is to support our key account customers for all ranges of products application.

The R&D manager candidate can further evolve to lead R&D department as we supply tailored product to our semi- and industry customers afterwards.

Key Accountabilities

Support of Key Account Customer:

• Frequent key account customer visits to maintain a strong relationship with the technical people and ensuring that their needs are understood.
• Inspiring customers with creative and differentiating finished goods taking into account the framework of customers’ production environment.
• Sharing high end expertise with key account customers via presentations and seminars on our products and solutions.
• Troubleshooting at key account customers to support them in solving issues in their daily production in a timely manner.
• Respecting the quality and food safety standards of our customers and respect confidentiality.
  
  

Technical Capabilities:

• Participating in the early stages of the creation of finished goods demo concepts.
  
  

Act with Safety in Mind:

• Food Safety.
• Reporting all food safety and quality issues to QA and together taking immediate action as appropriate.
  
  

Responsible for any other assignment given by the direct superior

Profile

• Bachelor or master’s degree in Food Science. Understands functionality of ingredients, additives and basic food chemistry.
• 5 years of hands-on experience in industrial bakery, patisserie, or chocolate production.
• Excellent written & verbal communication skills and presentation skills to promote ideas and products.
• Proven planning and organization skills with good attention to detail and ability to find solutions to complex problems
• Self-motivated and positive attitude and a team player.
• Excellent written & verbal communication skills
• Good command of spoken and written English
• Flexibility to travel
