Quality Engineer

Job content

The incumbent has the overall responsible for quality functions throughout the Taiwan Package Gases organization. He will need to develop / or review new / old analytical methods and to ensure sufficient stock of lab standard gases and instrument accessories. He/She will also need to handle all the related quality issues, statistical process control and any continuous improvement opportunities for the quality process in the plant. He/She will be responsible for training and coaching of all Packaged Gas Personnel in the plant who interact and operate on any Quality control equipment. He/She will be required to provide technical training and enforce QC standards across all Packaged Gas TW locations.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

1. Must ensure / assist in formation of safe work practices, and fully comply with all the safety regulations and procedures at the respective work place for all TW locations.

2. To review / develop new analytical methods for specialty gases by using appropriate instruments in the laboratory.

3. To supervise, train and motivate laboratory personnel on proper maintenance / repairs / procedures / operations.

4. To be responsible for all analytical instruments and equipment maintenance including diagnostic and calibration, as well as liaison with vendor / supplier.

5. Periodically review and recognize area improvement in the plant.

6. Accountability for the correct certification and issuance of certificate of conformance.

7. To give advice, implement and perform any modifications deems necessary for improvement in the operations and safety aspects of equipment as per specifications.

8. Manage the Quality improvement initiatives and customer complaint resolution.

9. To execute and delegate assignment to laboratory personnel and to guide or provide assistance to laboratory personnel in order to achieve targeted goal.

10. To plan and maintain high standard laboratory workforce at all time, as well as interest in laboratory personnel welfare and difficulties.
