As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you’ll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You’ll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. You’re equally comfortable explaining your team’s analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers.

Our team plays a key role in delivering software quality and delightful user experiences for Google’s first-party Pixel devices. We work closely with teams across multiple locations including the US, Taiwan, Mainland China, the UK, and others to meet these objectives. Our scope includes infrastructure/tooling development (including ML/AI), carrier pre-certification, integration testing of first-party and third-party apps, camera, display, audio, and many others. We also work cross-functionally to support multiple high priority strategic initiatives across the business.

The Google Pixel team focuses on designing and delivering the world’s most helpful mobile experience. The team works on shaping the future of Pixel devices and services through some of the most advanced designs, techniques, products, and experiences in consumer electronics. This includes bringing together the best of Google’s artificial intelligence, software, and hardware to build global smartphones and create transformative experiences for users across the world.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with cross-functional teams across Google Pixel and Android organizations to identify goals, track progress, and manage risks to ensure high quality products launches.
• Lead Pixel device software test programs and provide clear data-driven status and communication to stakeholders and leadership.
• Work with closely and lead teams of test and software engineers to develop comprehensive test programs for new product releases, including any required test infrastructure.
• Use leadership to help grow our automation test suites, increasing test coverage and efficiency.
• Develop process improvements to scale programs and improve productivity. Help functional teams define Objectives and Key Results (OKRs), facilitate meetings, and report progress.
