About The Job

As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you lead complex, multi-disciplinary engineering projects using your engineering expertise. You plan requirements with internal customers and usher projects through the entire project lifecycle. This includes managing project schedules, identifying risks and clearly communicating them to project stakeholders. You’re equally at home explaining your team’s analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical trade-offs in product development with engineers.

Using your extensive technical and leadership expertise, you manage projects of various size and scope, identifying future opportunities, improving processes and driving the technical directions of your programs.

The goal of the team is to build high quality, innovative, relevant and differentiating Applications, Experiences and Solutions for Pixel devices. The team has developed expertise in a variety of areas including Pixel Applications and Essential Experiences, Pixel Platform enabler, Machine Learning, and Pixel business optimization solutions.

The Google Pixel team focuses on designing and delivering the world’s most helpful mobile experience. The team works on shaping the future of Pixel devices and services through some of the most advanced designs, techniques, products, and experiences in consumer electronics. This includes bringing together the best of Google’s artificial intelligence, software, and hardware to build global smartphones and create transformative experiences for users across the world.

Responsibilities

  • Manage Pixel software projects such as Pixel application or Pixel operation and business tools.
  • Work with multiple stakeholders on cross-functional initiatives. Initiate the Proof-of-Concept plan, drive the prototype, and convince cross-functional teams to buy in the proposal.
  • Coordinate with engineering, UX, Program Manager, and testing teams across different software areas to plan the roadmap, study the feasibility, estimate the work efforts, define the milestones, execute the process, and manage the resources to launch full cycle software development product.
  • Track progress, unblock dependencies, evaluate and mitigate risks, and drive deliverables with the highest quality to achieve the product launch goal.
  • Communicate project status and manage escalation to stakeholders and leadership.
