We are looking for an experienced SQE for automotive semiconductor and module assembly, packaging, and testing.

Responsibilities

Role will include process review and data mining with suppliers, vendors and manufacturing sites for yield improvement and data collection for PPAP. Work closely with suppliers, packaging engineering, test engineering to resolve root cause of excursions, or other quality problem. This person will also involve leading on site audits at supplier sites according to VDA6.3 automotive standards and managing supplier process changes through PCN/ECN in compliance to automotive standards. Work with suppliers on developing FMEA.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Applied Sciences, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
  • 2+ years Supplier Quality experience or related work experience.
  • 2+ years experience with data modeling in statistical software such as MS Excel, Minitab, etc.
  • This person must communicate well in Mandarin and English.
  • This position requires ability to understand supply operation, assembly, testing, module and the basics of device fabrication processes. He or she will work with suppliers to verify specification and requirements are in place and followed to Qualcomm’s criteria with particular focus on automotive requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

Required 5+ years’ experience in the following:
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Engineering degree strongly preferred
  • Understanding of IATF16949 automotive requirements
  • Familiar with German VDA6.3 supplier audits
  • Ability to work analytically and in target-oriented way
  • Mastery of moderation/presentation techniques
  • Conflict resolution/negotiation skills
  • Knowledge of QM methods, such as in product and process approval procedure (APQP, FMEA, PPAP)
  • Familiar with statistic quality control method (SPC, TQM, 6-Sigma)
  • Project management experience
  • Practical experience in quality management in the mobile deice supplier industry, as well as audit experience
  • Free to support frequent business travel
  • Computer skills: MS Office, Visual Basic, JMP, C++ or MATLAB

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field and 2+ years of Supplier Quality Assurance experience (e.g., quality analysis, audit) or related work experience.

OR

Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field and 1+ years of Supplier Quality Assurance experience (e.g., quality analysis, audit) or related work experience.

OR

PhD in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
