Introduction

As a Strategy Consultant at IBM, you will help reinvent businesses and industries by developing and utilizing specialized knowledge of industry-specific and cross-industry competitive strategies. You’ll manage complex components of an engagement, working closely with clients and their customers to understand their pain points. Your strategic recommendations will drive change in a digitally-enabled era and give you the opportunity to collaborate with highly talented IBMers. Are you ready?

Your Role and Responsibilities

• Develop strategy, tactics, and storyline for large complex RFPs and pursuits in concert with MDs, account teams, and relevant IBM teams to improve positioning and forestall competition
• End-to-end project management of large, complex RFPs and pursuits across Brands, ensuring teams deliver the right content against their milestones, tell an integrated story, and undertake the right preparation for submission and Orals
• Maintain pursuit momentum by ‘keeping teams honest’ again deliverables, orchestrating strategic ‘drip feeding’ of information to clients
• Work shoulder-to-shoulder with Managing Directors to write Executive Summaries and key communications (transmittal letters, emails etc.) to client stakeholders
• Co-ordinate with the Creative team to design and build client-facing deliverables, ensuring a consistent look and feel, fidelity to solution and source material, and appropriate voicing
• Undertake quantitative and qualitative portfolio-wide analysis against questions of strategic alignment, growth potential, ecosystem activation, sales barriers etc.
• Maintain disciplined and frequent touchpoints with account teams to stay abreast of pipeline and pursuit updates
  
  

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

• 15+ years of business consulting experience in a leading consulting firm, or in an industry company with digital technology transformation experience.
• Maintaining a focus on project management in the area of digital transformation and new technologies.
• Prefer to have experience in any functional area of transformation e.g. eMarketing, R&D, Manufacturing IOT or Front Office.
• Education – Master’s degree in business management, technology or equivalence.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to present to client executive audiences

• Knowledge and working experience in artificial intelligence or analytics tools implementation is a plus.
