Our Optical Communications segment has recently evolved from being a manufacturer of optical fiber and cable, hardware and equipment to being a comprehensive provider of industry-leading optical solutions across the broader communications industry. This segment is classified into two main product groupings – carrier network and enterprise network. The carrier network product group consists primarily of products and solutions for optical-based communications infrastructure for services such as video, data and voice communications. The enterprise network product group consists primarily of optical-based communication networks sold to businesses, governments and individuals for their own use.

Purpose Of The Position
  • Implement and sharing via global CSC to ensure OEM run-to-standard process and align process optimization thru Division Engineering level discussion.
  • Receive product and process technological transferring to Manufacturing and cycling back opportunity while time-to-time deployment per operational sustainability, and cost reduction
  • Day-to-day operational supporting to ensure process and Quality consistency, process optimization and improving unit cost reduction.
  • Utilize DMAIC/MEE/PQA methodology to achieve shop floor Excellence with a focus on cost reduction, consistent product quality and on-time delivery.


Day To Day Responsibilities
  • Promote and implement PQA to ensure consistency of process control, product quality thru global CSC standard which includes rationalize SOS setup, documentation, statistic control, event trigger process flow.
  • Utilize statistical techniques (DOE, SPC), manufacturing intelligence data, and DMAIC methodologies to develop process understanding to improve OLE and OEE.
  • Lead process improvement plan on quality and yield issues, and production line cycle time reduction.
  • Statistical data trend analysis to address process improvement plan and logically reporting
  • Set up process leading indicator to prevent from internal and external quality issues via statistical analysis, and address improvement plan in operational, Quality control and engineering experiment plan.
  • Visibly support operation and maintenance of a safe work environment.
  • Identify gaps in plant manufacturing capabilities with Division Engineering and make recommendations to improve.
