ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to the following:

• To work on/or lead software team to work on Requirements, Design, Developing, maintaining and supporting one or more product software, with closely works with firmware team.

• Technical research deeply into Server&Storage, Cloud areas individually or by leading a team to demonstrate the leadership to influence the product through from the Architecture, Design, Development etc. to final delivery.

• Working with customers or partners closely to understand the requirements and customer user cases, be able to prototype to discuss with customers for technical requirements.

• Executing of full lifecycle development of Server&Storage, Cloud product.

• Working on automation testing development based on the world-class automation platform/framework which is the foundation of the unified engineering

• Working closely with Support & Escalation to assist in handling high profile customer issues

• Working with other Engineering teams on fixing critical defects in Server&Storage, Cloud products.

• Creating patches, private builds and hot fixes to meet customer needs and life-cycle maintenance objectives

• Driving technical knowledge and expertise sharing from Development to Support Escalation

• Leading project team to drive the project requirement, design, development and delivery

Person Background:

Should be an expert with Linux or Windows, with deep knowledge in Network, Storage and Cloud etc. technologies. Should be comfortable developing features, making improvements and resolving issues, developing automation testing or tackling code, at a variety of levels in IT or communication systems generally. Should have experience and knowledge of some or all of the following:

• Bachelor’s degree (or higher), preferably in software engineering, computer science or the physical sciences.  Strong candidates with other applicable degree subjects will also be considered.

• Significant experience of professional software development in Linux or Windows based C, Ocaml, C++, C#, Python, Golang, Rust and Script (e.g. Bash, Makefile) etc.

• Good knowledge of x86 OS interaction with Windows or Linux etc.

• Good knowledge of ACPI, SMI, SCI, APM, AMD Power Now, ASF, Debuggers , AFI, Boot block, SMART, Hyper Transport, Intel LFBP, Intel Speed-step, MPS tables, Net-boot, PCI Express config & routing, PXE, S1-S4 sleep, Serial Flash, SMBUS & SMBIOS, USB2.0, User ROM, WFM etc.

• Experience of Linux or Windows platforms at system kernel and operating system level.

• Linux or Windows Application, Kernel, Makefile, Shell or Drivers Development & Debug

• Knowledge about Server Virtualization, Storage, Network Virtualization, Xen, QEMU, KVM, Security, Containers (e.g. Docker) and Cloud technologies etc.

• Strong debugging skills & software lab experience

• A good understanding of Continues Integration and Automation Testing

• Good English reading/writing skills, and communication skills

• Good grounding in the principles of software architecture

• Good understanding or code review, software quality, development testing, unit testing etc.
