About the role…

Ally Pallet, an innovative start-up specializing in pallet rental, is seeking a software engineer to join the team. Pallets are a crucial component in the logistics industry, yet they often lack digital and information-based applications and management. We aim to enhance the value of the pallet rental industry through digitization and information technology. This role will be responsible for maintaining and developing the pallet management platform. This involves learning about the pallet rental business, clarifying the current system architecture and functionality, and subsequently developing platform features.

What you will do...

• Develop and maintain backend applications using the Laravel framework and handle frontend development using Vue.js.
• Design and manage the structure of MySQL or MariaDB databases, ensuring data integrity and performance.
• Deploy and manage applications in a cloud environment using the LAMP stack framework. Collaborate Across Departments: Work closely with client managers, product managers, and other outsourced engineers to ensure the smooth progress of projects.
• Conduct code reviews, and write and maintain tests to ensure software quality.

What skills are required...

• Minimum 4 years of experience in full stack development; experience deploying applications in a cloud environment using the LAMP stack is a plus
• At least 2 years of experience using the Laravel framework
• Proficiency in PHP and JavaScript
• Familiarity with Vue.js and common frontend development tools and processes
• Proficiency in designing and optimizing MySQL or MariaDB
• Familiarity with Git or other version control systems
• Ability to communicate effectively with cross-functional teams
• Proficiency in MS Office, and Google Workspace
• Familiarity with containerization technologies, such as Docker is a plus
• Contributions to open-source projects or a personal technical blog is a plus
• Experience with agile development and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) is a plus
• Experience in leading a development team is a plus
• Fluent in English and Mandarin
