A Day In The Life

As a Senior Merchandiser you will be dedicated to ensuring our products are produced on-time, to the highest quality and within cost targets. You’ll be working closely with vendor partners and internal teams to drive product excellence, manage costs, and build positive relationships cross-functionally.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the Vancouver development and sourcing teams by managing the cost sheets with finished goods vendors based on costing gate date.
• Analyze and validate cost breakdown and negotiate cost as needed, excellent at costing.
• Understand style details and can communicate comments to vendors. Input to and action new processes in tracking and costing product.
• Costing data input and management of style costing delivery dates.
• Costing reports based on data collected from vendors.
• Sample status tracking and follow up.
• Coordinate seasonal onsites and travel to vendors when necessary for sample preparation and review
  

Qualifications

• Degree in merchandising or related discipline preferred, with 7+ years of relevant industry experience.
• Knowledge of product costing, technical performance materials, garment construction, design, and development.
• Experience in working directly with vendors.
• Comfortable with rapid growth and changing environments, willing to learn, proactive and solution-oriented.
• Dedication to continuous improvement and personal development.
• Fluency in English and Mandarin.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, you process and amazing MS Excel skills! (V Lookup and Pivot Table knowledge essential)
• Experience working with a PLM software and Bambo Rose is a plus.
• A true team player with excellent problem solving / analytical / logical thinking skills and attention to detail.
