This role requires formal training and applied experience and proven knowledge of DMPK/ADME of novel small molecules in drug discovery. Knowledge of the bioanalysis and PK of biotherapeutics is desired.The senior manager will lead the scientific efforts of the bioanalytical group to execute in vitro ADME and rodent pharmacokinetic assays of novel drug discovery compounds and provide custom model design and technical guidance to both clients and lab staff. . Oversight of bioanalysis at an external partner will also be required.The successful candidate will lead our ADME/DMPK service. The position requires scientific expertise and leadership experience on in vitro ADME and PK assays, including bioanalytical method development, quality control, and troubleshooting, as well as PK data statistical and regression analysis, familiarity with regulatory guidance from FDA and/or EMA.Job description:

• Work closely with the assigned laboratory teams to guide and train colleagues on the appropriate animal models, bioanalytical methods and quality control, and the statistical and regression analysis of the data.
• Provide scientific consultative guidance to current and potential clients by email and presentations in conference calls. The technical director may review data and provide interpretations in these dialogs.
• Provide study design and proposals with pricing for customer studies, and coordinate contract execution in collaboration with our sales team members.
• Lead the expansion of the ADME/DMPK portfolio to increase the business. The technical director will collaborate with the marketing and sales teams to plan the specific services to be established and the marketing/sales strategy to promote the services.
• Contribute to promotion of the services by assisting in writing website content, technical documents and symposia presentations.
• Provide an external perspective on the management of the overall PDS service portfolio as it relates to operational alignment and coordination with the ADME/DMPK service line.
• Engage operations in ongoing assessment of the scientific/commercial relevance of service offerings.

Other Responsibilities

• The position is responsive to a global client-base. As such, off-hours availability is required to conduct business with clients in Europe, North America and Asia.
• Periodic international travel is required to meet with client companies to make presentations and advise client’s. Travel to meet with operational personnel, and attend relevant scientific meetings will also be required.
• The successful candidate is expected to maintain current working knowledge of drug discovery and development processes and technologies and the client support structures and processes.
• Other duties may be assigned as needed.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in an appropriate discipline and a minimum of five years academic or professional research experience is required. A specific background in DMPK/ADME research, as well as a proven research publication record is required.
• Demonstrated knowledge of drug discovery, including preclinical and translational pharmaceutical development is required.
• Experience in outsourcing of pharmacokinetic services, either as a client or as a service provider is required.
• The applicant must have excellent verbal and written communication skills including:
• The ability to write and review protocols and experimental reports as well as write and present scientific papers,
• The ability to effectively present and discuss models to clients and scientific peers via telephone, online presentations, or in person during client visits.
• The ability to learn sales and marketing support software, and enter data and reports in a Client Relationship Management (CRM) database, and the ability to learn and utilize pricing tools.
• Ideally have excellent bilingual English and Chinese capabilities (written & spoken)
