Join us in this role where you’ll be our High Voltage Transmission Asset Control Engineer, responsible for the operation and maintenance of wind farm electrical assets, including HV/LV switching and SCADA controls. The scope of this role is to lead a team of specialists in detailed planning and execution of the day-to-day operations and maintenance of our Changhua 1&2a Transmission Assets.

You’ll be part of our HV Transmission team where you, together with your colleagues, will work under the directions of HV Governance Lead and follow Ørsted Electrical Safety Rules and relevant Taiwanese regulations. Successful candidates will be seconded into the construction phase of the wind farm and undergo a series of job training programs, to ensure that our candidates develop required competencies to operate and maintain electrical assets in Operations.

You’ll play an important role in:

• developing a strong and positive electrical QHSE culture with a focus to maintain and improve safety standards and participate in the continuous development of Taiwanese Ørsted Electrical Safety Rules
• completing a series of On-The-Job training programs, to develop operational competences in maintaining electrical transmission assets
• achieving Wind Farm Chief Electrical Engineer status through demonstrated performances and lead teams of electrical specialists to operate electrical transmission assets
• troubleshooting and maintaining Wind Farm Electrical Transmission assets and related equipment and facilities, including SCADA / HMI / Protection systems
• ensuring that work activities are performed in accordance with Ørsted’s Electrical Safety Rules and Electrical operations philosophy
• monitoring and controlling wind farm Transmission Assets, to ensure that wind farm operates as per connection compliance and TPC dispatch control.
  

To succeed in the role, you:

• have a good UHV/HV transmission network and power systems knowledge, where an electrical engineering degree is preferable
• have significant experience with UHV/HV operational management, ideally within an engineering or utilities business; experience in communicating with the Transmission System Owner will be an advantage
• can create excellent results through teamwork and develop good relationships with your colleagues and external business partners
• have an analytical approach to your work and an ability to handle numerous tasks simultaneously and calmly without losing perspective
• comply with GWO medical requirement to work offshore when needed
• can speak and write Mandarin and English fluently.
