Minimum qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
  • 3 years of experience in a use case or IP level power analysis or power modeling on SoC.
  • Experience with a scripting language or spreadsheet to conduct post-processing of power data for analysis or power modeling.

Preferred qualifications:
  • Master’s Degree or PhD in Electronics or Computer Engineering/Science, with an emphasis on multimedia, computing vision, ambient computing, or AI/ML.
  • Experience with complete power modeling methodology and tools from the early architecture stage to the post-silicon stage.
  • Knowledge of the impact of software and architectural design decisions on the power behavior of the system to maintain sustainable use experience.
  • Knowledge of mobile SoC power management techniques and architecture.

Responsibilities

  • Define power system design to enable excellent experience use cases with advanced Google Research in AI/Machine Learning.
  • Perform power modeling and analysis to derive the optimal use case level power design by working with cross-functional teams on software/hardware partition, software/hardware requirements, system flow, etc.
  • Produce necessary tools, and scripting to facilitate power modeling and analysis work.
  • Perform pre-silicon use case level power projection and post-silicon power correlation analysis and optimization.
