Corning’s Display Technologies segment manufactures glass substrates for active matrix liquid crystal displays (“LCDs”) that are used primarily in LCD televisions, notebook computers and flat panel desktop monitors.

Purpose Of The Position

This position is designed to act as a project manager, exploring the opportunities to sustain CDT’s competitiveness in the future

Day To Day Responsibilities

• Monitor display technology innovations
• Lead in-depth understanding of latest new display technologies and panel makers, brands development
• Summarize display trend/ technology investigation and identify threats/opportunity to Corning.
• Lead and enhance technical engagements with customers, and explore joint experiement opportunity to identify glass requirement for new display processes and products
• Determine the glass implications from the customer’s product/ technology roadmap
• New Opportunity Development
• Collect VOC by engaging customer’s R&D group and lead project to provide value-added solutions to customer
  

Education& Experience

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in optics, electronics, glass/material engineering or science. MBA a plus
• 3+ years of high-tech, OEM or display related application experience. Marketing, Commercial Operations, Quality Management and/or Supply Chain experience a plus
  

Required Skills

• Solid understanding of glass manufacturing process and technologies, and the linkage of display technology to glass property and attribute
• Extensive knowledge of display/semiconductor industry
• Ability to engage and interact effectively with internal groups to assure the right process flow is taking place
• Ability to work/communicate across varied Asian cultures
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office package (Excel, Word, PowerPoint and database management)
• Strong leadership, communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills for both internal and external customers
• Proven experience on project management, especially cross regions/functions project
• Strong technical / analytical skills…Detail oriented
• Strong English communication skills
