Global Water Solutions has a vacancy for the role of Product Engineer. GWS is one of the world’s largest pressure tank and water treatment product manufacturers. The Product Engineer will report directly to the Director Global Business Enhancement and Services, based in Taichung, Taiwan.

Your Responsibilities:

The role and responsibilities are as follows, but not limited to-

• Collaborate with the Director Global Business Enhancement and Services and cross-functional teams to develop new products and enhance existing ones.
• Collaborate with the sales organization and customers to understand their specific product or design requirements.
• Conduct market research to identify trends, analyze competitors’ products, and ensure our products meet and exceed market expectations.
• Design and assemble functional prototypes, ensuring they meet design specifications and performance requirements.
• Conduct rigorous testing and optimization of prototypes to ensure they meet quality standards and performance expectations, as well as ensure final designs are optimized for manufacturability.
• Liaise with local and overseas suppliers to source parts, components, assemblies, and tools, ensuring timely delivery and maintaining good relationships.
• Write clear and concise work instructions for the production department to ensure efficient and accurate manufacturing processes.
• Define product specifications, including performance criteria, features, and functionalities.
• Communicate product specifications to production, marketing, management, and other relevant departments to ensure seamless product development and launch.
• Collaborate with the marketing department on packaging, labels, product decals, manuals, and other related materials.

Your Attributes:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. Master’s degree is a plus.
• Proven experience as a Product Engineer or a similar role in the water filtration or related industry.
• Experience in prototyping, testing, and optimization of products.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes, materials, and tooling used in the water filtration industry.
• Familiarity with sourcing parts, components, and assemblies from suppliers in Taiwan, China, India, and SE Asia.
• Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks) for designing and modeling a plus.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and suppliers.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to prioritize tasks, work independently, and meet project deadlines.
• Knowledge of market research techniques and ability to translate findings into product development plans.
• Understanding of relevant industry standards and regulations for water filtration equipment.
