We are looking for passionate Principal Software Engineer/ tech lead who understand the power of location and are invigorated by the Internet of Things combining space and time to actuate rich, powerful mobility and geospatial scenarios. Azure Maps provides location-based services for Microsoft enterprise customer applications, geospatial insights and location capabilities for mobility and automotive applications. This position offers great opportunities in develop successful careers and demonstrating strong technical and business leadership.

Responsibilities

As a senior technical leader on Azure Maps, you will be responsible for building world-class Maps and Geolocation services and products. You will participate in designs, code reviews, product reviews, and mentor junior members of the organization.

You will demonstrate engineering excellence and curiosity to dive deep while solving challenging problems. Your passion for customers and their needs will shine through as you build delightful experiences.

In addition to the day-to-day function of the job that involves building an innovative solution, you will also:

• Work closely with customers and our Program Management team.
• Analyze and make decisions based on complex and ambiguous data points.

• Through hands-on contributions, help define where we should invest in.
  
  

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

• 9+ years’ experience in Software Engineering.
• Experience building, releasing, and supporting applications or services in a modern programming language using a common application or services stack.
• 3+ years of cloud development experince

• Proven track record working with Concurrent Programming concepts like asynchronous operations and parallelism.
• Experience shipping cloud services and distributed systems.
• Proven track record of multidisciplinary capabilities.
• Strong Collaboration and communication skills.
• Experience working with distributed engineering teams.
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in data modeling, analytics, data mining and machine learning strongly preferred.
