Region APC > Construction & Operations APACThe Operational Technical Support department is responsible to maintain and improve Vestas Quality standards and to enable a flawless installation process supporting TOC (handover to customers) of the projects.Being an interface between Construction Site Operations, Project Management, Vestas Power Solutions and Global QSE department the department is providing solutions to the relevant stakeholders to reduce cost of poor quality and by that to increase customer satisfaction.Knowledge sharing, interaction with various stakeholders and a high level of safety and quality awareness are key aspects of the work in the Operational Technical Support team.The Technical Site Support team consists of the Offshore Technical Project Managers providing technical support in all aspects on the pre-assembly sites for our Offshore projects. The team is ensuring technical completeness and readiness of the components before vessel loading.ResponsibilitiesThe Technical Pre-Assembly Project Managers ensures an understanding of the technical activities within the pre-assembly area and provides support throughout all stages of the pre-assembly project. The TPM acts as an interface between the Pre-assembly team, Technology, Subcontractors, Suppliers and the Project team.
  • Act as technical expert within the pre-assembly area being the technical point of contact for pre-assembly site staff: Site Manager, Supervisors, Commissioning
  • Technical preparation of the Pre-assembly project incl. all relevant work packages
  • Motivated identification and management of risks and dependencies
  • Interface to (Technical) Documentation department for input and review of work instructions
  • Support on technical specifications and drawings
  • Ensure Tools & Spare parts readiness for the site and proper task preparation
  • Support with lean implementation and optimization of work tasks
  • Identification of (design) corrections and improvements in collaboration with site staff (Technical Project Managers, Site Supervisors / Managers, Commissioning Supervisors)
  • Interface to R&D and Technical Support department to realize and validate technical solutions
  • Organization and execution of regular knowledge sharing meetings related to quality issues, process and site updates.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor/ Master´s degree in Engineering (preferred) - or an apprenticeship in the field of Electrical, Mechanical or similar
  • Good technical understanding and knowledge of Offshore pre-assembly processes
  • Comprehensive knowledge about site processes, installation processes and installation manuals
  • Experience in Construction in the renewable energy/ wind industry in the offshore sector is a bonus
  • MS Office: creating presentations in PPT and present to relevant stakeholders
  • Fluent English skills
