Minimum qualifications:

• 5 years of experience working with embedded operating systems.
• Experience developing accessible technologies or distributed systems.

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience with CPU and controller architectures, x86 (Intel, AMD), ARM.
• Experience in server management protocols- IPMI, Redfish-DMTF, NVMe.
• Experience with bus protocols such as I2C, SPI, UART and SDIO.

With your technical expertise you will manage project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables. You will design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and enhance software solutions.

In this role, you will help design, build and launch features for BMC (Board Management Controller) and for other layers of Google server management and control stack. In addition, you will be the point-of-contact to design new management APIs for a new products. You will also have the opportunity to influence and contribute to industry standards and open source distributions (OpenBMC, Redfish, OCP, DMTF).

Responsibilities

• Write detailed specifications and design docs for software architecture and systems we build.
• Develop and integrate server management software.
• Engineer the system towards bringing determinism while making judicious use of resources.
• Develop, maintain and integrate software test infrastructure, unittests and integration tests.
• Provide technical leadership for a team of 15+ people and partner with peer managers to own direction, milestones and execution.
