We are looking for a driven and proactive individual who will thrive in a startup environment.You will get a chance to shape policies, lead or support a variety of projects, and develop relationships with business leads in Taiwan and across the Zenyum group.Roles and responsibilities

• Review, draft and negotiate various commercial contracts (including supplier agreements, partnership agreements, product or service T&Cs, IP agreements and NDAs), independently or with support from HQ Legal or our panel of external counsel
• Work with country MD to procure, manage and maintain regulatory approvals and licenses required in Taiwan or other markets (as required)
• Support our business by providing advice, assisting with audits or diligence, and effectively managing external counsel
• Monitor and propose measures in relation to changes to the legal and regulatory framework in Taiwan or other markets (as required)
• Delivering practical legal and regulatory advice (whilst balancing legal and commercial considerations) to Zenyum’s business teams in relation to complex projects, including launch of new products or services
• Assist with standard compliance controls, data protection, privacy, security and other related matters across our business
• Manage the intellectual property portfolio and liaise with filing agents or external counsel in Taiwan or other markets (as required)
• Manage and develop a suite of standard form templates, compliance policies, SOPs and training materials.
• Manage and advise on litigation, investigations, law enforcement and regulatory communications
• Be responsible for adapting and disseminating Zenyum HQ policies to local markets as required
• Report (as required) to HQ Legal and the board and senior leadership on key legal and regulatory matters
  
  

Qualifications and experience

• LLB, JD or Master’s Degree in Law. Additional qualifications in a common law jurisdiction is a plus
• Qualified to practice law in Taiwan
• 2-6 years of experience in a top-tier international law firm or in-house practice. Prior experience working in a corporate and/or regulatory practice or a startup will be an advantage, including legal experience in the healthcare/FMCG industry.
• Comfortable in a fast-paced, ’startup style’ environment
• Able to manage complex projects and to escalate appropriately
• Strong oral and written Mandarin (simplified and traditional) & English communication skills
