  • 15 years of experience in one or more of the following fields: new product introduction, manufacturing, or operations engineering
  • Experiences in technical program management
  • Experience across all phases of product development from prototype to mass production

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in consumer electronics development, manufacturing, and working in a fast-paced environment with global and cross-functional internal and external teams
  • Experience in leadership and people management
  • Experience with mobile device development and manufacturing
  • Experience in mechanical engineering
  • Experience launching Consumer Hardware products in one or more manufacturing models: Contract Manufacturing (CM), Joint Development Manufacturing (JDM), Original Device Manufacturing (ODM), and Original Equipment Manufacturing (OEM)
  • Ability to travel up to 30% as needed

As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you’ll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You’ll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. You’re equally comfortable explaining your team’s analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers.

Responsibilities

  • Lead technical operations of Pixel Products to program manage for the overall technical readiness of a new products throughout the development phases and ramp.
  • Develop and implement the manufacturing processes and management systems through continuous improvement of assembly tooling, automated equipment, and contract manufacturing partners.
  • Lead internally and externally to develop manufacturing and New Product Introduction (NPI) processes via cross-functional collaboration.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams on system level Design for Manufacturability, design for cost, DFM and PFMEA activities, and lead techOps teams and cross-functional teams on timely problem-solving and technical communications.
  • Lead continuous efforts of efficiency improvement through design and process optimization.
