Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience in ISP tuning, developing hardware Intellectual Property (IP), ISP algorithms, image pipelines, consumer camera, or computational photography techniques.
  • Experience coding in C/C++.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • 8 years of experience in image signal processing technology.
  • Experience in camera imaging algorithm development, image processing, computer vision, and/or computational photography development.
  • Experience with automatic imaging tuning related development and technology.

In this role, you will design excellent features and functions of image systems to make Android cameras pleasant and useful in versatile products. You will tune strategy design, including image quality tuning, algorithms and features evaluation, automatic systems development to optimize the tuning process, and related lab plans. You will bring together Google’s artificial intelligence, software, and hardware to build global smartphones and create transformative experiences for users across the world.

The Google Pixel team focuses on designing and delivering the world’s most helpful mobile experience. The team works on shaping the future of Pixel devices and services through some of the most advanced designs, techniques, products, and experiences in consumer electronics. This includes bringing together the best of Google’s artificial intelligence, software, and hardware to build global smartphones and create transformative experiences for users across the world.

Responsibilities

  • Develop Image Signal Processing (ISP) tuning methods and tools for novel pipelines.
  • Work with the architecture, image quality, software and tuning teams to develop solutions to achieve quality goals and commercialize real products.
  • Work cross-functionally with hardware teams to support algorithm implementation and optimization.
  • Develop automatic processes to improve coverage and make the tuning process more efficient.
