  • Help drive the delivery of our services in a fast-moving, client focused commercial environment.
Mott MacDonald is a global engineering, management and development consultancy. With a strong track record supporting many landmark projects in Taiwan, we continue to grow to meet the demands of a vibrant and emergent energy market. Due to this continuous growth, we have an opportunity for an experienced and self-driven Environmental/Senior Environmental Consultant to be a part of our energy and environmental team with a focus on renewable energy.

In this role, you’ll be responsible for the project management of a variety of environmental and social (E&S) consultancy services projects, such as environmental and social due diligence (ESDD), environmental and social impact assessments (ESIA), feasibility studies, and owner’s engineer E&S advisory services. This will be done across all project lifecycle stages, including development, financing, design, construction and operations.

This role would suit you if you’re a high performer from a consultancy background with a solid technical base who is ready to take on a greater level of responsibility and ownership. In this hands-on role, you’ll be active and across all that is happening, and you will bring great subject matter expertise and a commercial focus.

The Opportunity
  • Be responsible for the management and delivery of projects - on schedule, to budget which exceed clients’ expectations.
  • Enhance your relationship management and engagement skills by being the focal point to various stakeholders and by being involved in business development activities.
  • Provide project management leadership by leading meetings with clients, addressing technical and commercial issues, and undertaking site visits.
  • Help to grow individual capability and team performance by coaching, mentoring and guiding junior team members to deliver high quality work.
  • Regularly collaborate with team members (both locally and globally), across disciplines and sectors, to encourage innovation and to share knowledge and information to open opportunities for connected thinking.
Candidate Specification

About You
  • Master’s or bachelor’s degree in environmental science/engineering/management or other areas relevant to a core environmental, ecology or social disciplines.
  • At least 3 years of experience in project delivery/management of consultancy projects with experience in delivering environmental studies, particularly, ESDDs and ESIAs.
  • A quality-oriented mindset and excellent project management experience, with a proven track record of leading and managing project teams, project budgets and schedules.
  • A good command of written and spoken English and Mandarin with highly developed interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Familiarity with international lending safeguard requirements - such as Equator Principles (EP) and International Finance Corporation (IFC) Performance Standards – highly desirable.
  • Ability to demonstrate comprehension of concepts, as well as the capability and keenness to solve complex issues.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, as well as the ability to present objective-focused narratives through solid report writing skills.
  • Hands-on experience in business development and in client-facing roles is a plus.
  • Willingness to travel when needed for project site visits or client meetings (when the Covid situation permits).
In Return, We Offer
  • A supportive and engaged team focused on collective output and impact.
  • Develop your talent and potential through stretch opportunities and by working alongside a wide range of specialists.
