Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
• 10 years of industry experience in design and bring-up of hardware for post silicon validation of SoCs.
• Experience driving HDI and multi-layer PCBs from concept and component selection to stack DFM and limited production.
  
  

Preferred qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering.
• 12 years of industry experience with complex PCB HW design and bring-up for ATE test/load boards, System Level test, and High speed I/O Test Hardware involving Mobile/Compute SoCs, FPGA etc.
• Experience in leading a team of engineers (Electrical, Mechanical and Procurement) to provide an optimal Hardware solution for HSIO characterization, SLT or ATE requirements.
• Experience in mobile and compute chipset validation platform development and bring-up.
• Experience with HVM test solution bring-up at foundry and OSAT.
• Proficiency in power delivery network and Signal and Power integrity.
  
  

About The Job

As an Electrical Hardware Engineer, you will help validate and integrate SOC (System on Chip) technologies into mobile phones, tablets, and laptops. You will also enable HW development to facilitate ATE & SLT testing of ASICs/SOCs to validate its performance and screen out faulty devices. You will be responsible for all electrical and mechanical aspects of System Level test, ATE and High speed IO characterization activities by working with multiple internal and external teams. You will work with Product, Packaging, SW and HW system teams to ensure full utilization and testing of the chipset. You will also work with internal and external teams, vendors and partners to ensure designs are manufacturable and ready for production.

Responsibilities

• Enable Google’s future products by owning Electrical Hardware (HW) system design and validation from concept to production.
• Architect and drive high density, high speed and feature rich electrical hardware/PCBs to enable complete electrical characterization of complex SOCs (System on Chip).
• Work with cross-functional teams to deliver a successful high volume production screen hardware for ATE and SLT.
• Work with ATE, SLT and Handler vendors to create test fixtures, prototype boards, bench solutions and automated robotic handler-based ATE and SLT solutions for manufacturing screens.
