Demand Analyst

The DuPont Electronics and Industrial enterprise has an exciting and challenging opportunity for an experienced Demand Analyst in the Analytics group of the Integrated Operations organization. This position is aligned with the Interconnect Solutions business with focus on High Performance Films and Laminates (HPF and HPL). DuPont Interconnect Solutions brings a deep understanding of materials science to solve challenges in multiple segments such as consumer electronics, automotive, telecom, and high-performance industrials. This position reports to the E&I Demand Analytics Team Leader and has several global location possibilities.

A successful candidate will manage planning system data analytics, including the continuous monitoring, tuning, deployment and continuous improvement of statistical forecasting. Data analysis includes tracking and comparing multiple views of the forecast, identifying trends, inflections and gaps and subsequent coordination with stakeholders. A candidate is also responsible for the Demand Planning Master data in our Planning System (OMP) in support of and coordination with the business Demand and Commercial teams. This includes master data maintenance, product life cycle and transition management and reporting. The Demand Analyst is a Key User in OMP and will be consulted by Demand and Commercial for data related issues. The Demand Analyst is an active contributor to the continuous improvement of our forecasting analytics and overall effectiveness.

Responsibilities
  • Manage the Differentiated Forecast Strategy process which segments forecast items into forecasting strategies using a quadrant analysis technique.
  • Manage the analysis, deployment and maintenance of statistical models for forecasting, develop subject matter expertise in statistical forecasting.
  • Comparative analysis of Collaborative and statistical forecasts to identify gaps, triggers, trends and communicate to forecasting stakeholders
  • Develop subject matter expertise on OMP reporting and capability to support business data requirements
  • Continuously communicates, networks with and processes all relevant demand information into actionable plans for area of responsibility.
  • Manage Demand related Master Data in OMP, including attributes for new product, transitions, product Life Cycle changes, etc.
  • Participate in staged OMP design testing to ensure viability of interim processes
  • Participate in the Supply Chain Continuous Improvement community to help capture new business requirements, obtain the required business data, develop, test and launch business process applications within ERP.
Qualifications
  • Undergraduate business, supply chain, or engineering degree and/or 5 years of experience in commercial or supply chain organization.
  • 3 years’ experience working in commercial or supply chain organization
  • Six Sigma Green Belt Certification
  • 1 year of planning system experience (ex APO, OMP, SAP)
  • Industry Professional Training (Institute of Business Forecasting or APICS)
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to manage by influence
  • Broad flexibility and aptitude to work in a team, across multiple functions.
  • Demonstrated Strong analytical and organizational skills
