Minimum qualifications:
  • 6 years of experience with data center equipment/environments (e.g., switchgear, generators, cooling towers, air handling units, controls)
  • Experience managing vendor relationships

Preferred qualifications:
  • Master’s degree or PhD in Electrical/Mechanical/Industrial Engineering, Construction Management, or related technical field
  • Experience in requirement gathering, resource organization, task prioritization, scheduling, and achieving objectives on schedule/within budget
  • Experience in green field construction projects
  • Understanding of standard practices in the design and construction industry, including fast-track design build processes and associated documents
  • Knowledge of start up/commissioning, safety, and quality processes
  • Ability to lead teams, with excellent leadership, collaboration, and problem-solving skills

The Data Center team designs and operates some of the most sophisticated electrical and HVAC systems in the world. We are a diverse, upbeat, creative, team-oriented group of engineers committed to building and operating powerful data centers.

Responsibilities

  • Manage data center construction and delivery organization for both small and large projects. Manage scope related to new construction projects and/or capital improvement projects in existing facilities, utilizing internal and external resources.
  • Oversee the development of master plans, basis of design, detail design, construction, successful commissioning, close out, and hand-off to operations, ensuring safety/cost/schedule/quality goals and customer demands are being met.
  • Collaborate with the Global Design and Construction team. Develop and implement regional/local construction methodology and relevant supply chain.
  • Develop and implement an effective vendor management program to measure and track external service provider performance.
  • Interface with key internal and external cross-functional teams to achieve program goals for the project. Encourage and motivate the team to drive safety culture and processes as a priority.
