About The Role

Integrated Operations Consultant (IOC) role is a standard global role that resides in the E&I Integrated Operations organization that reports to each specific E&I Lines of Business (LOB) Integrated Operations

Leader (IOL).

The Consultant role supports the IO Leader through identification, measurement, development, and overall management of the various types of improvement efforts across both supply chain and manufacturing teams within the specific LOB to deliver both short and long-term market demands.

Successful candidate in this role is responsible to work directly with the Continuous Improvement Leader and the Manufacturing Technology Leaders in defining and following execution of improvement efforts within the LOB Integrated Operations team.

You will facilitate the managing processes necessary across IO in the specific LOB (strategy flow down, KPI flow down, performance dialogues, decision boards).

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure that manufacturing and supply chain capabilities are effectively aligned to meet business needs including quality, cost control, budgets, supply vs. demand, priorities etc
  • Lead annual processes for updates to Capability and Capacity files across the LOB Integrated Operations. Collaborates with SC Master Planner to align planning rates as part of 24-36 months production forecasts
  • Lead annual process for development of production, supply chain, and cost profit objectives as well as asset plans
  • Represents the LOB IO team for planning and decision making regarding the various resources and programs to meet LOB needs within functional (Manufacturing Technology, Business/SC, Continuous Improvement, Contract Manufacturing, EHS, etc) and external teams
  • Coordinate preparation of LOB performance metrics for reporting (monthly, quarterly, annually, 24 months view)
  • Create and sell value proposition for LOB IO continuous improvement
  • Support the building of an efficient Supply Chain and Manufacturing team
  • Consulting skills Hypothesis development, Data Collection and Analysis, Designing Models and Analytical Tools, interpreting results, Facilitation Training, Synthesis Message development and communication, Establishing & Managing relationships, Coaching
  • Identify, develop standard methodology, and help business to implement external and internal manufacturing/supply chain best practices, leverage good practices in productivity, TEEP/OEE, resource allocation, operation management system, risk management, customer orientation
  • Resource initiatives to support LOB Integrated Operations improvements as part of the overall IO effectiveness
  • Develop, and Support the implementation of standard roles including role descriptions, activities, tools, and requirements for the Integrated Operations Job Family
  • Assist in gap analysis and evaluations of the capability of the Integrated Operations team with regards to people, processes and tools
  • Develop and implement programs to improve LOB IO people and process competency in alignment with business excellence
  • Assist in development of self and team through execution of training for the standard roles by continuously identifying and communicating the specified and available education
  • Provide enablers to support Integrated Operations improvement (e.g., websites, common databases, etc)
  • Establish networks with internal and external Integrated Operations leadership groups to leverage and accelerate work and improvement
  • Provide the connection for inter-relationships between Manufacturing, SC, & Demand (where appropriate)
  • Provide IO Benchmarks where appropriate to support business improvement
  • Accountable for complete & accurate input to the LOB IO process on manufacturing and supply chain capabilities, operating plans, costs, and production forecasts/supply
  • Ensure IOL is aware of key business issues pertaining to the Integrated Operation performance and plans for the LOB
Education, Experience, Qualifications
  • Extensive experience in Supply Chain and Manufacturing
  • Product Quality/Market requirements knowledge in assigned Electronic Technologies LOB
  • Green Belt trained/certified (prefer Black Belt trained/certified)
  • APICS CPIM certified
  • Geographically flexible – within a region
  • Able to travel up to 20%
