Job Title: Buyer / Expeditor

Location: Taipei, Taiwan

Position: Contractor (2 years)

Role Summary/Purpose

Lead specific projects, the management and timely delivery of all direct procurement of major Balance-of-Plant (BOP) equipment’s. You are a member of the Sourcing team and reports in the project team for the function directly to the Project Sourcing Manager (PPM) / Procurement Manager (PM) and liaise with Global Commodity Leaders. You would be the focal point in the project sourcing for all matters related to procurement & Fulfilment and will liaise as with all sub-functions within the Sourcing department.

Along with Procurement activities, you will also be responsible to support Project Tendering requirements on providing sourcing inputs to tendering in terms on budgeting and equipment’s costings and facilitate the team in winning the tenders.

Essential Responsibilities -

Buyer/Expeditor: Ensures a smooth hand-over of Supply Chain Management related scope between Tender Team and Project Execution Team PO creation, approval through SAP Organize commercial clarification meetings with suppliers and Project team PO Lifecycle Data management including but not limited to execution of Change Order requests Liaison between Engineering/Supplier/Supplier Quality to address technical queries & product qualification Respond supplier queries on & finalize Commercial MoM along with Global Commodity Leaders (GCL) Ensures that suppliers meet all contractual requirements Preparing commercial evaluation tables for approvals Work on invoice business holds to ensure on-time payment to suppliers Manage Vendor Recoveries along with GCLs for late deliveries and back charges Organize Kick-off meeting to explain the process and expediting tools Support engineering for Vendor Document follow up/expediting Set up periodical intervention calls with suppliers to monitor project/order status Ensure regular update of order status on On-Time Delivery Smartsheet Tracker Coordinate with quality and suppliers for Testing, Inspections & timely release of RTS Coordinate with logistic team/partner to ensure timely pick up Follow up for On-site Discrepancy report/missing items with suppliers if any Organize Package reviews, Vendor documents reviews, status updates Provide inputs for weekly meetings with the participation of Quality Coordinator, Lead Engineer, Scheduler, Material Logistics, etc. who interface with the function of Supply Chain Management Is in charge to maintain the monthly Progress Report, Cost Summary Sheet, and Claim Summary Ensures On-time Delivery of equipment’s at customer site or as specified
