Description:
Molex is seeking a growth minded Business Development Manager (BDM) that is able to identifying and pursue new business opportunities for the Optical Connectivity business, resulting in the maximization of value creation for the business--both in business where they have direct ownership, as well as the BU overall. They must be versatile, have a growth mindset and proactive engagement with customers and the Molex Sales teams to drive oppty’s..
The BDM responsibilities will include:
- developing and driving business growth plans
- identifying potential customers and partners
- collaborating with Product Managers to identify growth opptys for existing as well as new products & target customers
- engaged with Molex Distribution Accounts to identify existing and new customers
- building relationships with key customers and their respective decision-makers
- negotiating deals and securing business that results in mutual benefit for customers and Molex
The BDM should have the following skills:
- sales & negotiation
- relationship-building internal & external to Molex
- identifying & actively energizing their network to advance Molex’s engagement at our customers and in our marketplace
The preferred BDM will have an understanding of the strategic customers in the Telecom, Datacom and Hyperscale industries and the competitive landscape. They should be able to use this knowledge to identify new business opportunities and develop effective sales strategies.
This role will work collaboratively with other departments, such as marketing, product development, Molex Global Sales team to ensure that business development efforts align with the company’s overall goals and strategies.
