We are now seeking a dynamic and experienced VR Business Development Director/Manager to join our team and drive the growth and success of our VR business.
As the VR Business Development Director/Manager, you will play a key role in identifying and pursuing new business opportunities within the VR industry. Your primary responsibility will be to develop and implement strategies to drive revenue growth, forge strategic partnerships, and expand our market presence. You will be responsible for building and managing a high-performing business development team while collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution of VR initiatives.
Summary
Be a part of the vision to drive HTC’s VR, 5G, AI integrated strategy forward. Play a key role in defining global strategic business opportunities and partnerships while also identifying internal areas for improvement. The ideal candidate is entrepreneurial, learns fast, and can build strong relationships with external partners and internal stakeholders alike. The position will call upon your creative and analytical experience to synthesize business cases/models to propose initiatives that maximize business KPIs. Your intellectually curiosity about emerging technology makes you an internal thought leader and principal evangelist of a burgeoning tech ecosystem.
Responsibilities
• Identify and target potential clients, strategic partners, and market segments to expand the company’s VR business.
• Develop and implement a comprehensive business development strategy to achieve sales and revenue targets.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, industry influencers, and decision-makers to drive business opportunities.
• Lead negotiations and contract discussions with potential clients, partners, and vendors to secure new business.
• Stay abreast of market trends, competitor activities, and emerging technologies in the VR industry to identify new growth areas.
• Collaborate with the marketing team to create compelling sales collateral, presentations, and marketing campaigns to support business development efforts.
• Provide regular reports, sales forecasts, and market insights to the executive team.
• Build and manage a high-performing business development team, providing coaching, mentoring, and performance evaluations.
• Attend industry conferences, trade shows, and networking events to represent the company and promote its VR solutions.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
• Proven track record of at least 8 years in business development or sales roles within the VR industry or a related field.
• Strong understanding of the VR market landscape, trends, and emerging technologies.
• Demonstrated success in developing and executing business development strategies that resulted in revenue growth.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
• Strong leadership abilities with experience in building and managing high-performing teams.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to drive results.
• Highly motivated, self-driven, and results-oriented.
• Willingness to travel as needed for client meetings, industry events, and conferences.
