Asia Finance Director - Offshore Wind

• Oversee all ongoing offshore wind projects in Asia, supporting the other development activities from the company and step into projects or act in a supervisory role.
• Finance scope will be covering accounting, reporting, treasury, tax, project finance, planning & control, budgeting, governance, investor relations, etc.. Building in Asia the strong finance backbone for stable growth.
• Manage key finance stakeholders in the region
• Establish the Finance platform and organization structure within the business unit. This includes integrating new projects, optimizing (finance) processes, establish a strong internal control environment and leading forecast, budget and long-term planning cycles for the Asian projects
• Lead and develop a top tier finance and accounting structure in Asia and allocate resources to each function within the business unit and existing/new project structures appropriately
• Support the identification of value creation strategies and assist the business unit in developing and reviewing ideas for new opportunity transactions and/or existing investment/asset optimizations and enhancements
• Partner and support the finance leadership team on corporate financial matters (cost of capital, corporate financial model updates, reference rate, credit rating agencies, deal & tax structuring, lender compliance, banking relationships, etc.)
• Finance Management of accounting- and reporting activities for Development Offices and Development Projects
• Manage the investment review and financial modelling process and provide oversight of new opportunity financial due diligence and plans for integration of any new entities/acquisitions in Asia
• Lead the depth of financial due diligence required for new opportunities, including scope, timelines, and resources
• Supporting the projects and subject matter experts in Project Finance, Legal and Insurance initiatives
  

• Minimum 15 years of experience in financial planning, analysis, forecasting and budgeting
• More than 10 years of track record/strong experience leading and developing teams.
• Experience in development and project financing of large infrastructure projects is a must
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Engineering, or related field; CPA or other advanced designations considered an asset
• Understanding of economic, accounting, and basic tax concepts as well as capital markets, and applied investment and valuation methodologies
• Asia based (willingness to undertake extensive travel in the region to visit the projects)
• Fluent in English language; ability to speak an Asian language (Japan, Korea, Taiwan) is preferred
• Highly-motivated self-starter demonstrating a commitment to continuous improvement; proven experience in greenfield development
• Ability to setup, redesign and streamline business processes
