Job Description - ESG Digital Professionals- Asia Pacific

How will you add-value?

In 2020, PwC made a global science-based commitment to achieve net zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2030. The commitment includes supporting our clients to reduce their emissions as well as reducing those from the PwC network’s operations and suppliers. We are looking for Sustainability & Decarbonization (Net Zero) Professionals to be part of our responsible business team and the larger global Net Zero agenda.

You will be instrumental in driving our efforts and initiatives to achieve Net Zero by 2030. You will work collaboratively with internal stakeholders to develop tools and campaigns to raise awareness and promote sustainability initiatives within PwC. Key roles and responsibilities would include:

The role

Ideally, you will have 7+ years of experience in digital and systems implementation, environmental consulting, climate change or a related industry position. Within the Digital ESG Group, working with clients, our digital partners and internal PwC stakeholders, your role will include:

  • Tracking the digital and climate change megatrends and building thought leadership
  • Conducting digital maturity baseline assessments to support ESG focus themes
  • Develop or facilitate digital strategy and business & technical architectures to integrate ESG themes within client digital landscapes.
  • Supporting clients to develop credible digital roadmaps to assist clients to deliver their ESG goals including business case development, sourcing and selection, implementation to support and Run.
  • Work with PwC stakeholders across to integrate digital into existing ESG go to market initiatives to provide an end-to-end service, including organisational change management
  • Tracking PwC’s regional and global solution investments for digital ESG
  • Tracking the digital market for COTS for ESG, SCM and Climate.

Technical:

  • Strong understanding of application of digital solutions and services to assist clients to deliver their business priorities and meet their ESG goals
  • Working knowledge of issues surrounding climate change, energy, GHG emissions and sustainability
  • Working knowledge of carbon accounting standards (ISO 14064, GHG Protocol)
  • Working knowledge and experience of carbon accounting, carbon measurement techniques and calculation methods for Scopes 1, 2, and 3, LCA (Life Cycle Assessment)
  • Familiarity with SBTi methodologies, CDP, TCFD, climate-related risk assessment, and scenario analysis

Skills and experience

  • Knowledge and understanding of the trends in ESG Digital including greenhouse gas accounting and reporting, carbon footprinting, and/or climate impact assessments of investments
  • University degree ideally in digital/information systems, sustainability, environmental science, engineering, economics, quantitative finance, and expertise in ESG topics is a bonus
  • Demonstrated in-depth understanding of end to end systems lifecycle from strategy through design, build, deploy and run.
  • Understanding of the opportunities enabled by modern cloud-based technologies including and not limited to Azure and AWS
  • Good project management and coordination skills to manage multiple projects
  • Experience with one or more modern advanced business intelligence & visualization solutions, for example PowerBI and Tableau
  • Excellent verbal, written, and visual communications skills, tailored to audiences with varied experience and levels throughout the organization, from practitioner to c-suite
  • Ability to articulate product vision, strategy, design decisions, and delivered value of a product
