This position is a key role to support all technical customer requests including product applications, Integration, interaction with Electronic Polymer’s key customers to identify new opportunities and drive results as well as troubleshooting customer issues. This role requires close alignment with product management and regional/strategic account sales. The person will ensure customers’ critical technical requirements (CTQs) are clearly defined, shares his intimate understanding of customer applications, and provides his technical inputs to Commercial and R&D teams. The role supports the business to drive new product developments and expedite qualifications of EP products at key customers.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities

Technical and Application Support
  • Provide engineering and process support, trouble-shooting material and process performance, support for product qualifications, execution, and reporting on corrective actions.
  • Work “hands-on” with customer engineering and manufacturing departments on BKM and POR material handling, process, and equipment settings in the fab.
  • Work closely and communicate with the engineering and manufacturing departments at leading semiconductor companies.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key engineers and managers.
  • Develop and maintain effective applications support for Honeywell’s Electronic Polymers products including technology requirements, quality and performance issues, and process integration knowledge.
  • Lead field engineering support efforts for Electronic Polymers and related products for the region.
  • Own technical support deliverables and ensure customer responsiveness on product applications issues.
  • Identify, coordinate, and assess technical performance and risks.
  • Understand competing technologies and processes.
  • Responsible for staying current on key technology trends, new technologies, and competitor data.
  • Work with development team and Program Managers to develop technology roadmaps with customers and competitive intelligence supporting the business.
  • Provide technical assistance on a regular basis when needed, including technical presentations, and coordinates engineering support (both on-site and remote).
  • Work closely with Sales, Program Managers, and Operations to ensure deadlines are met, and that deliverables and corrective actions are closed in a timely manner.

  • Sales: Collaborate to identify and address customers’ needs.
  • R&D/Engineering: Coordinate new product penetration strategy.
  • Customers: Establish relationship with key stake holders, and understand CTQ’s through VOC and on-site learning, establish qualification approach and schedule, and support growth (in particular for new products).
  • Partners: Develop relationships with key technical personnel at strategic partners.
YOU MUST HAVE
  • At least BS degree in materials science, polymer chemistry, chemistry, engineering, or related fields.
  • At least 3 years’ experience in Semiconductor process engineering or process integration background is required.
  • At least 7 years of experience in semiconductor industry required; preferably in major semiconductor manufacturers, OEMs (equipment), or material suppliers.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to learn quickly and understand technical materials and concepts.
  • Detail oriented, able to work with minimal supervision.
