Job Overview

The PDCP (Process Development Component Process) department is a leg of process engineering development, with a total of 25 team members. The Packaging and Printing Process Development team (PDCP-PP) is in charge of the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of internal and external manufacturing processes for different packaging components and printing polymer parts. The team consists of component engineers, technology engineers, and subject matter experts.

Reporting to the Assistant Manager PDCP-PP, the role as a Senior Specialist represents the organizational backbone of the packaging and printing process development team. In this position, the key responsibilities include driving administrative and process-related tasks, and collaborating with both, team members and the management team on a daily basis to successfully schedule, initiate, conduct, and finalize component development support activities. Additionally, the cross-deparmental coordination of tasks, maintenance and administration of system data, and logistics inquiries are central aspects that are owned by the Senior Specialist. Besides daily business activities, the implementation of new ERP and PLM systems (as part of the DEEP initiative) allows for great insights into the existing process framework and hands-on contributions to the transfer and implementation of established and advanced processes in the new system. Independently initiating and tracking project-support tasks and follow up with a broad range of stakeholders within agreed time boundaries are further core aspects of this function. A pro-active, collaboration-oriented mindset with great team player skills and the desire to engage in interdisciplinary project teams are a must in this role.

Main Responsibilities:

• Support the development of mass production processes for packaging and printing components as an interdisciplanry, collaborative administration partner

• Drive cross-departmental coordination of project-related tasks in collaboration with our Component Engineers and other involved stakeholders

• Manage relevant support activities (such as material orders, training request, core data management, etc.) independently and on time to ensure successful development within given time boundaries

• Coordinate the technical supplier development in collaboration with our Component Engineers

• Contribute to internal process management and innovation initiatives, such as DEEP and PLM implementation

• Support the management team with the coordination of interdisciplinary and team-related tasks, such as team building events, official statement communication, team meeting administration, etc.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Basic

• At least 3-5 years of work experience in a similar role, ideally in SHL

• Familiar with SAP, CSP, and further common IT applications

• Excellent team player who likes to work with people

• Structured way of working with an elaborated sense of urgency

• Strong organizational and project management skills

• High level of independence, positive and curious attitude

• Friendly and open-minded personality with a strong drive to strive for operational excellence

• Effective communication skills to communicate across hierarchy levels and departments

Preferred

• Relevant university degree

• Fluent in Chinese, conversational in English (TOEIC 600 or above)

• In-depth knowledge of the development process landscape and manufacturing environment is a big plus
