Corning’s Display Technologies segment manufactures glass substrates for active matrix liquid crystal displays (“LCDs”) that are used primarily in LCD televisions, notebook computers and flat panel desktop monitors.

Day To Day Responsibilities

  • Melting process development and engineering with a focus on critical asset life. Lead melting activities to achieve business objectives.
  • Worldwide manufacturing support for asset life, operational, and performance related issues. Support or lead troubleshooting efforts.
  • Melting process optimization. Execute technical analysis of the melting process and drive to conclusions to promote improved process capability.
  • Interface with R&D, design, and plant engineering for development and implementation of new materials, processes and technologies into manufacturing.
  • Develop technology and implement process improvements utilizing engineering best practices including DMAIC, PCPD, Six Sigma, KT, etc.
  • Lead and support manufacturing capital expansions, startups and equipment repair worldwide as required.
  • Support process standardization, documentation, and governance.
