  • Ability to speak and write in English fluently
  • Ability to travel internationally up to 40% of the time

Preferred qualifications:

  • 6 years of experience in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field
  • Experience with automated vision system development, liquid dispensing process, or mechanical fixturing design
  • Experience with managing mobile phone projects
  • Demonstrated ability to lead complex, strategic, and operational initiatives
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence plans across all project stakeholders and levels

About The Job

As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you lead complex, multi-disciplinary engineering projects using your engineering expertise. You plan requirements with internal customers and usher projects through the entire project lifecycle. This includes managing project schedules, identifying risks and clearly communicating them to project stakeholders. You’re equally at home explaining your team’s analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical trade-offs in product development with engineers.

Using your extensive technical and leadership expertise, you manage projects of various size and scope, identifying future opportunities, improving processes and driving the technical directions of your programs.

Responsibilities

  • Manage Pixel final assembly process and equipment at agreement manufacturer from initial design concept through ramp and serve as a device assembly technical lead in resolving complex issues
  • Work with cross-functional teams to develop manufacturing processes, equipment, and fixtures to meet product requirements
  • Identify, prioritize, and manage key technical changes and risks of the Google Pixel to ensure all technical risks associated with a product are identified and closed or mitigated to enable the quality ramp of a product
  • Drive manufacturing yields improvements, failure analysis, statistic analysis, tolerance analysis, cycle time optimization, line balancing, and automation deployment
