This role is embedded in the Manufacturing Engineering group within our Global Operations Engineering team in Taiwan.

Your responsibilities

  • Together with the rest of the team you will support the development and implementation of SHL’s new material management / intralogistics layout and warehouse system
  • Support the development and implementation of automated warehouse management, storage and transportation systems including ASRS (Automated Storage and Retrieval System, AGV/RGV, conveyor, Palletizer, De-palletizers, robots, etc.)
  • Support implementation of lean management concepts in production planning and logistics systems
  • Planning and Optimization of logistics processes: Work with internal operations and material flow engineering teams to ensure that equipment and layout designs align with the overall material flow plan and vision for the factory
  • Support Project Manager in planning, implementation and project execution

Your qualification

  • Degree in Engineering, Logistics or similar discipline
  • Relevant industry experience in manufacturing / automation / Production Scale-up or Operations/Logistics (For the right candidate who is keen to learn, this could also be your first job after graduation)
  • Knowledge of automated material handling / warehouse systems, production logistics, end of line installations, warehouse transportation or similar is a plus
  • Passionate & committed self-starter with “can do” attitude, team player and taking responsibility to get the job done
  • Ability to work independent with strong attention to detail and focus on efficiency, effectiveness and cost
  • Intercultural and interdisciplinary communication skills; able to communicate effectively in English (verbal, written)
