Responsibilities:
Logistics:
- Customer Service
- Manage all the customer’s (external and internal) orders including status, delivery time, shipment planning and transport costs, etc.
- Manage all the imports and exports of goods from the factories to their final destinations.
- Control local freight from customs to the end user.
- Maintain all stock in a clean and orderly fashion
- Manage physical warehouse process
- Work with the factories and agree upon the stocking policy and appropriate levels.
- Manage and develop the assigned people in the import-export role and in the warehouse.
- Provide KPI /NPS reports to different Business Areas.
- The position requires occasional domestic & overseas travel. Daily interaction with colleagues, vendors, customers & distributors.
- Logistics Manager is required to strictly comply to:
- Business Code of Practice (BCOP)
- Sustainability Responsibility (Environmental) - Logistics is responsible to maintain a healthy environment by reducing packaging waste and CO² emissions-reduce air freight, increase Direct to Customer to reduce local transport
- Approval flow (Prokura)
- Further develop the purchase organization, re-enforce and secure the right organizational structure, following the business needs. Safeguard the continuation of competence in the Purchasing department by recruiting, coaching and training.
- Focus on efficiency increase of the Purchasing Department through use of the right tools, creativity and close interaction with other departments and Product Companies. Benchmark for new processes and ideas.
- Actively contribute to specific purchase projects within the division and the Business Area, utilizing synergies at all times, targeting Product Cost Efficiency.
- Pay strong attention to reduce Supplier quality costs as well as the Purchase variances and zero-prices in the system.
- Continuously improve the Quality of our supplier base through Supplier Quality Assurance.
- Develop the right Supplier Base and establish good relations between ourselves and our suppliers. Identify and qualify new vendors capable of meeting our technical, quality and flow requirements.
- Put a strong focus on our time to market for new products by reducing supplier lead-times in case of new product designs or introduction in production.
- Continuously decrease our suppliers’ lead-time and improve our supplier delivery efficiency to meet the requirements of lean production.
- Negotiate Purchasing Agreements.
Under the general guidance of the manager, support the implementation, planning and monitoring the processes of supply chain activities covering inventory management, order processing, shipment of raw materials and products and closely work with supply offices/companies and sales office, etc in order to help streamline business process and improve the effectiveness, control costs and enhance supplier/ customer partnerships.
Experience Requirements
Minimum 10+ years’ work experience, at least 5 years’ experience in Logistics, preferably in a large, global organization.
Knowledge
Good negotiation and analytical skills, commercially astute and knowledgeable in contractual issues relating to terms and conditions.
Good command of English language both oral & writing.
Good knowledge of operational processes.
Be proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Hands-On experience in SAP (sales or logistics module) is mandatory.
Good ability of work independently and possess a high level of initiative, commitment and perseverance as well as strong team orientation and focus on team building.
Educational Requirements
Undergraduate degree in Business Administration, Industrial Engineer, or similar.
MBA or Masters’ degree is advantageous.
Personality Requirements
Results orientation, excellent interpersonal and negotiating skills.
Proven ability to work under pressure and in a fast paced environment.
