Corning’s Display Technologies segment manufactures glass substrates for active matrix liquid crystal displays (“LCDs”) that are used primarily in LCD televisions, notebook computers and flat panel desktop monitors.

Job Responsibilities
  • Review SOS daily & compare base case
  • Daily process monitoring/observation including tour/investigation
  • Cross communications with operators/line-engineers in different areas
  • Process periodic audit, e.g. Daily, Weekly, Monthly, including PCPD audit
  • SPC(Dashboard) result monitor and routine review (daily or weekly)
  • Process capability monitor
  • Performance tracking and OPS/SPM routine report and analysis
  • Lead trouble-shooting, while contacting and involving appropriate sources.
  • Collect OCAP, TSG, and PAR records and analysis for effectiveness
  • Provides day-to-day problem solving support to production, development and research operations.
  • Functions as a team member or team leader on focused projects.
  • Trouble shoots material, process and equipment issues, identifies root cause and implements corrective action.
  • Uses simple statistical tools and Designed Experiments (DOE) in process problem
  • Develops SME knowledge of material, process and/or equipment in focused areas of manufacturing or engineering.
  • Executes cost reduction and improvement (DMAIC) projects in line with business objectives.
