• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent practical experience.
• 10 years of experience managing and operating a network of laboratories for conformance certification or US Carrier certification.
• 10 years of experience leading and managing teams.
  
  

Preferred qualifications:

• Master’s degree or PhD in an Engineering or technical field.
• Experience coordinating team members from multiple disciplines to complete required certification processes and documentation.
• System level expertise in certification, for RF performance, to protocol and IP/IMS layers. Ability to enable technical discussions with customer SMEs. Excellent technical knowledge for cellular RF, protocol and 3GPP.
• Expert on PTCRB/GCF and/or other US carrier certification requirements.
• Ability to communicate in English and Chinese Mandarin, while being an excellent communicator of requirements, critical path, and schedules.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily laboratory operations for smartphone carrier testing and certification.
• Develop vision and strategy for certification laboratories.
• Oversee certification test requirements and validate testing reports for accuracy, completeness, and ensure all mandatory requirements are properly accounted for in filing packages.
• Communicate certification status and issues in a clear, succinct, and timely manner to all impacted teams.
• Define and implement carrier certification requirements across development teams, technical account managers, and carrier partners.
