As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you’ll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You’ll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. You’re equally comfortable explaining your team’s analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers.

As a Technical Program Manager and Chief of Staff, you will work with the Hardware Leadership team to help them grow, scale, and operate business more effectively. You will serve as the program manager for key projects, driving both strategic roadmap and project execution forward. You will complete complex tasks and drive organization-wide impact. You will enable the Vice President to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders.

The Google Pixel team focuses on designing and delivering the world’s most helpful mobile experience. The team works on shaping the future of Pixel devices and services through some of the most advanced designs, techniques, products, and experiences in consumer electronics. This includes bringing together the best of Google’s artificial intelligence, software, and hardware to build global smartphones and create transformative experiences for users across the world.

Responsibilities

• Lead processes and tools for effectively managing the organization while partnering across functions. Identify problems across the organization and create programs or processes to solve them.
• Execute analyses required to develop recommendations. Communicate findings to the leadership team and the broader organization and implement solutions.
• Manage projects from product definition, builds, and ramp, and serve as the technical lead in resolving complex issues throughout product development cycles. Lead a cross-functional team of engineers and designers in the development of new product introductions.
• Be the technical lead in communicating project readiness, identify, prioritize, and manage key technical changes and risks of a given product. Ensure all technical risks associated with a product are identified and solved.
• Serve as the technical advisor for the product line and ensure operational readiness for all phases of the development cycle.
